should you flex on the brokies?
Bit of a different topic today, I want to talk about flexing on the brokies.
For those unfamiliar with the term "brokie," it refers to someone who has no money.
It is both a hilarious term and demeaning all in one (so it holds a special place in my heart).
But the question remains: should we flex on the brokies, and what kind of flexing is acceptable?
The Brokie Paradox
As we know from comedy, punching down isn't very fun (except when aimed at Cardano holders).
See that was a joke and we got to punch down.
But typically people don't like it.
It sounds weird but flexing on the broke boys can be great marketing.
Every time I post my girlfriend or a pic of me in the gym timeline go crazy.

The Psychology Behind It
People want what they can't have.
7-figure portfolios.
Medellín penthouses.
Beach workouts in Bali.
Not "gm" from a basement.
Tasteful Flexing 101
There's a difference between being inspirational and being a dick.
Here's how to flex without alienating:
Show the work behind the rewards
Mix lifestyle with valuable insights
Use the flex to teach, not just to show off
Keep it authentic (fake flexing is cringe)
The Results Speak
My highest engagement tweets?
The ones where I'm in Floripa with entrepreneurs.
The ones showing my morning view in Medellín.
The ones with my gorgeous girlfriend at dinner.
My lowest engagement?
Technical threads with zero personality.
Why It Works
Every founder secretly wants:
Financial freedom
Location independence
A high-value partner
Physical fitness
When you show these, you're not just flexing.
You're selling a vision.
The Marketing Strategy
I help Web3 founders build this exact content mix:
60% valuable insights
30% lifestyle/personality
10% subtle flexing
The result?
Followers that convert to customers. Investors that slide into DMs. A personal brand that opens doors.
The Next Step
If your timeline is full of technical posts nobody engages with...
If you're hiding your personality behind your product...
If you're ready to build a personal brand that actually attracts opportunity...
We should talk.
Keep building,
Jax
P.S. Reply "flex" and I'll send you my framework for building content that drives both engagement and respect.
P.P.S. For the record, I live in Medellín because I love it, not just to flex. But the flex is a nice bonus.
